The party voted, by a healthy majority, to drop its official opposition to same-sex marriage.

...Many here in Vancouver hope that dropping opposition to same-sex marriage and adopting a modified pot policy improves the appeal of their party in urban and suburbans areas where it did so poorly last fall.

The party comes out of Vancouver with some confidence in its purpose, satisfaction in its strength, and unified about its mission.

It is a party ready for a vigorous leadership race and then, after that, the re-match with Trudeau in 2019.
